Ringkøbing's history goes many years back in time. The official date of its founding is 1443, when the city had its market town rights reconfirmed. This was celebrated in 1943, when a fundraiser made it possible to erect the town well. It was erected next to Hotel Ringkøbing, but was later moved to
its current location.
Ringkøbing is known throughout the west coast as a very good trading town. We have a unique shopping life for a town of our size. You can choose between
more than 50 specialty shops, 20 restaurants and cafés and 7 large grocery stores. Everywhere we emphasize good service, and you will always get a smile, which we hope will give you a very special shopping experience.
To make your visit to Ringkøbing even more exciting, we organize a number of activities throughout the year for both children and adults to give everyone some great experiences to remember.
